Call backs will be held on April 5, 2008 from 11:45 to 1:15 followed by a brief interview at Canal Studios, 243 N. Unons St., Lambertville, NJ 08530.  RSVP to info@roxeyballet.org

Audition Requirements
Roxey Ballet seeks classical dancers with a strong modern and contemporary base. Females 5'3" to 5'11"and males 5'8" to 6'3" are encouraged to apply. Diversity among artists is stressed in Roxey Ballet. Professional artists interested in auditioning should forward a headshot, resume, video and letter/s of recommendation prior to the audition. References will be required.

New York Audition: Female artists should bring pointe shoes. All artists should plan to take class, improvise, partner and work on company choreography. Arrive one half hour early to register. Call-backs will be held in New Jersey. Dancers unable to attend this audition should make plans to be seen prior to June 1, 2008.

Roxey Ballet is located one and a half hours from New York City and three-quarters hour from Philadelphia

Roxey Ballet will hold auditions for Children's Classic Stories on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Canal Studios, 243 N. Union St., Lambertville, NJ. Performances will take place…….There is an audition fee of $30 and a participation fee of $130 for those accepted into the production.

More Info: All dancers must arrive 1/2 hour before the scheduled audition to register. Dancers who dance on pointe should prepare to do so. Male dancers are encouraged to audition. This is a children's production, so children of all ages are encouraged to audition. All dancers who do not have a driver's license must have one parent present for a mandatory meeting at the end of the audition.

Audition Times are:

Children aged 4 to 6: 1:30 to 2:00
Ages 7 to 10: 2:00 to 2:45
Ages 11 to 13: 3:00 to 3:45
Ages 14 and up
(including adults) 4:00 to 4:45

More info: Roxey Ballet will hold open auditions for The Holiday Classic "Nutcracker" on September 15, 2007 at Canal Studiios, 243 N. Union St., Lambertville, New Jersey. Performances will take place November 24 to 26, 2007. The audition fee is $30 and there is a $125 participation fee for those accepted into the production. All dancers must arrive 1/2 hour before the scheduled audition to register. Dancers who dance on pointe should bring pointe shoes. Male dancers are encouraged to audition. Roxey Ballet I & Apprentices

Roxey Ballet is always looking for strong male and female classical dancers with an aptitude and desire to work in contemporary and modern styles. The company is interested in professional dancers of all types who can work well with others and can offer something special to the Roxey Ballet's culture and community. Dancers can set up a private audition or confirm attendance at one of the upcoming auditions by calling the company at 609-397-7616, Ext. 810.

Apprentice to Roxey Ballet I

Apprentice positions are for dancers ages 17-21 who seek to expand their skills, dance training and experience while being a part of a team of dancers with similar goals and interests. These apprenticeships are offered through Roxey Ballet. Dancers must have graduated from high school and be at least 17 years of age. A formal audition is required.Scholarship / apprentice contracts are for a period of one year should a student be accepted.Their is no promise of employment when a dancer is an apprentice. Artist may qualify for a small stipend to assist with pointe shoes.

Auditions for RB I and apprentice auditions are held during the months of February,March April, May and June of each year, Professional artists interested in auditioning should bring to audition a headshot, resume, video and two letters of recommendation or forward them to 243 North Union Street, Lambertville, New Jersey 08530.

RBC II and Work Study Positions

RB II auditions are held in August/September of each year and by invitation only.
Roxey Ballet II auditions are for dancers ages 12-18 who seek to expand their skills, dance training and experience while being a part of a team of dancers with similar goals and interests.

Roxey Ballet II dancers perform choice roles in the full-length ballets performed by Roxey Ballet. Dancers who have participated in this program have gained admission in major dance programs, such as The Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, School of American Ballet and San Francisco Ballet, as well as major universities, colleges and dance companies throughout the United States.
